HBO’s The White Lotus and Apple TV+’s Severance led the two-night HCA TV Awards, winning five awards each at the Broadcast/Cable and Broadcast Awards, respectively.
“The White Lotus” won Best Writing in a Limited Broadcast or Cable, Anthology Series or Movie; Best Directing in a Limited Broadcast or Cable, Anthology Series or Movie; Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Broadcast or Cable, Anthology Series or Movie; Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Anthology, Broadcast or Limited Cable Series; And the best broadcast network, limited cable, or anthology series.
“Severance” won awards for Best Streaming Drama Series. Best Writing in a Streaming Drama Series; Best Supporting Actor in a Streaming Drama Series; Best Directing in a Drama Series, Drama; Best Actress in a Drama Series.
In addition, HCA has awarded honorary awards including the “TV Breakout Star Award” to Quinta Brunson, the “TV Icon Award” to Giancarlo Esposito, and the “Virtuoso Award” to Mandy Moore.
The HCA TV Awards are unique in offering many categories of Drama and Comedy for both broadcast and cable. It is also unique to split broadcast/cable and broadcast into separate nominations and celebrations.
The HCA Broadcast and Cable Network Awards were held at The Beverly Hilton on Saturday, August 13, 2022, hosted by Dulcé Sloan, while the broadcast event took place the following night, Sunday, August 14, hosted by Cameron Esposito. Here are all the winners of the 2nd annual HCA TV Awards:
