Samsung releases second beta version of One UI 5 for Galaxy S22 series

At the beginning of this month, Samsung launched the One UI 5 beta program, allowing Galaxy S22 owners in South Korea, Germany and the United States to try out the new Android 13 program before the stable release. Now, the Korean manufacturer has expanded the pilot initiative into India. Moreover, the second beta version of One UI 5 has also started rolling out in South Korea.

According to several posts on our forums and the Samsung Indian Community website, Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra owners can now sign up for the One UI 5.0 public beta through the Samsung Members app and get the update later in a hurry. The initial beta version for the Indian region bears the version number S90xEXXU2ZVHKwhich is newer than previously released beta software (ZVH4).

On the other hand, Korean models receive the second beta update in the form S90xNKSU2ZVHK. However, the similarity between the build numbers is not just a coincidence. In fact, it reports that the inaugural beta for the Indian variants is in sync with the other regions despite the delayed start. The builds are cumulative in nature, hence the fixes in the Korean version Beta 2 are already in the Indian Beta 1.

The standard disclaimer for all beta versions applies here as well, i.e. beta software tends to contain bugs. If you are looking for a stable operating system for your Galaxy S22 that will flawlessly fulfill all your needs, then you should steer clear of beta software. Samsung’s public beta builds are relatively polished, but there is still the potential for something crucial to happen.

On the next screen, tap on the Record button and then wait a few minutes for the app to process your registration. Next, head over to the software update page on your device and tap Check for updates to download the public beta.
