It really has to do with the vulnerability of the elderly and also the stark class division, which is very evident in a city like Delhi. And the season really speaks to that with great sensitivity and care, and also sheds light on the way we engage with marginalized communities.” diverse.

The actor plays the role of Policewoman Niti Singh. “She has a journey where she has really struggled to navigate her personal and professional life. And that path spoke to me a lot because I felt like this was the story of a lot of the women I grew up with. This is the story of a lot of women working in a patriarchal society, where you go out to work, but you’re not free from Other responsibilities, or even getting a little help with other responsibilities, you’re expected to do while when a guy goes out to work, he’s presumably not there for anything else,” Dougal said.

Dougal is currently filming the third season of popular Amazon Prime video show Mirzapur, a gangster tale set in a small town in northern India, where she plays Bina Tripathi, a woman who has made her mark in unexpected ways.

“It’s a very different role from me in all the ways I always say I live vicariously through Pina because she’s physically different from me, she’s been wired differently, and I’m always glad to get the chance to be that for a few days each year,” he says. Dougal.

“I really enjoy working in later seasons because I think it’s a very challenging but joyful task to take a character further, because the novelty of seeing them for the first time is not present in later seasons. And so you have to do something interesting with them,” Dougal added. “Pina this season, as in every season, as it should be, has a makeover. I don’t want to say what this is because I want the public to experience it.”

The actor, whose previous credits include the Toronto title “Qissa” and Cannes’ title “Manto,” the BBC/Netflix series “A Suitable Boy” and the Netflix anthology “Lust Stories,” also has supernatural thrillers “Adhura” and “Spike” from Amazon as she plays a coach. Next volleyball.

Dougal also worked on the filming of “Lord Curzon Ki Haveli” by Anshumman Jha, along with Arjun Mathur (Made in Heaven), Zoha Rehman (“The Foundation”) and Paresh Bajuja (“Tandav”). Inspired by a play by Jha, it’s a thrilling story where a couple meets one night.

Next up is ‘Little Thomas’, an independent film directed by Kushal Oza, with whom I previously worked on a short film called ‘The Miniaturist of Junagadh’.
