Julie Richardson, Adrian Lesterboard “The Ballad of Renegade Nell”

Louisa Harland, Nick Muhammad, Julie Richardson and Adrian Lester (pictured above, left to right) star in the upcoming Disney+ series ‘The Ballad of Renegade Nell’ diverse can reveal exclusively.

Written and produced by “Gentleman Jack” writer Sally Wainwright, Lookout Point is an upcoming eight-part adventure-fantasy series about an 18th-century young woman who unwittingly finds herself the most famous lady on the country’s highways.

“Dream Girls” star Harland will play the quick-witted and brave Neil, who ends up on an extraordinary adventure after being framed to commit murder – a twist of fate with far more consequences than Neil could ever dream of. Muhammad (“Ted Lasso”) joins the role of Billy Blind, a “courageous but prickly” spirit while Richardson (“Nep/Tuk”) is an eccentric newspaper mogul Lady Eularia Mugerhanger.

“Trigger Point’s” Lester plays Neil’s enemy and political planner Earl Boynton.

They are joined by Alice Kremmelberg (“The Sinner”) as young widow Sophia Willmott, who teams up with master manipulator Poynton in her quest for her independence, Frank Dylan (“The Essex Serpent”) as “rogue witch” Charles Devereux and Craig Parkinson (“Sline”). Duty”) as Sam, the good father of Neil.

Pip Torrens (“The Crown”) is set to play Sophia’s father, Lord Blanchford, while Jake Dunn (“Get Even”) will play Thomas, Sophia’s bossy brother.

The cast of Eni Okoronco (“The Lazarus Project”) concluded as Russellas boy and newcomers Bo Bragason and Florence Kane as younger sisters to Neil Roxy and George.

Ben Taylor (“Sex Education”) will direct the swashbuckling series alongside Amanda Brotchie (“Gentleman Jack”) and MJ Delaney (“Ted Lasso”).

The BBC Studios-owned Lookout Point productions will be produced by Faith Pinhall, Will Johnston and Louise Mutter, while Johanna Devereaux, Vice President of Written Content at Disney+ will produce.

John Jennings joined as series producer and Stella Mears as producer.
