The world has been searching for clean energy because the current fuel obtained from crude oil is not 100% environmentally friendly.
The good news is that Nigeria does not need to look further because the solution may have been found by Hadi Usman.
Hadi Othman is a 69-year-old man who has developed a machine that uses water as fuel to power his cooking stove.
The Daily Trust interviewed Hadi Othman about how he was inspired to create such a machine. In his response, he said that the lack of proper electricity, the high cost of cooking gas, and kerosene inspired him because he could not afford to buy them.
He said he started experimenting and came up with the idea of using copper and water. Since water contains atoms and electrons, he said, copper could be introduced which would produce the air (gas) needed to generate energy.
He said the work was still in progress and people abroad were already calling him, including people from Finland, Australia and the Netherlands. He said the Chinese had already visited him.
When asked if he had received any support from the government, he said, “From 1975 until now, there has been no form of assistance either from local, state or federal government. All they do is visit the workshop, admire my work, and leave .”
