Chainsaw Man Shares Manga Exec Highlighting Manga Before Anime

Chainsaw Man is one of the most awaited anime series of 2022, and it’s not hard to see why. The original Tatsuki Fujimoto series is very popular, and the animation will be overseen by Studio MAPPA. The trailer for the show was nothing short of impressive, and it all comes from the studio in question. And now, the CEO of MAPPA is giving manga a specific shout out ahead of the series’ premiere.

Highlights were recently shared with ComicBook as Manabu Otsuka spoke with us during their appearance at Crunchyroll Expo. It was there that the CEO and Producer of Chainsaw Man shared his favorite part of the series, and asked friends to specifically look at the manga’s ninth volume.

Otsuka shared, “For me, I think Volume Nine is really standout, and I’ve read it over and over. It gives an interesting look at the relationships between the Chainsaw Man characters and how they respond to each other.” “It’s really cool to see how the relationships have developed, so the whole movement of the series’ character arches from the beginning onwards.”

If you’ve been caught up in the chainsaw man, you’ll know that volume nine collects chapters 71 through 79. It’s in the middle of the Gun Devil’s arc and begins with a wild update on Denji. After all, Chapter 71 begins with the man lying in bed with Power, and the volume continues to explore Denji’s relationships with the woman as well as Aki. So if you love Denji and explore his bonds with fellow demon hunters, you can see why Otsuka likes this volume in particular.

Of course, fans can look forward to Chainsaw Man adapting the ninth volume in perfect detail. The anime will go live this October, and Crunchyroll will be broadcasting it simultaneously for the world to watch.
