Katherine O’Hara and Jay Duplass to star in Netflix’s The Pain Hustlers

Kathryn O’Hara, Jay Duplass, and Andy Garcia will join the cast of “The Pain Hustlers,” collaborating with Emily Blunt and Chris Evans for the Netflix movie.

Brian Darcy James (“Spotlight”, “West Side Story”) and Chloe Coleman (“My Spy”, “Marry Me”) complete the set.

David Yates, who is best known for directing several “Harry Potter” films, directs “The Pain Hustlers,” which is said to be very similar to American crime dramas such as The Big Short, American Hustle, and The Wolf of Wall Street.” According to the official slogan, The film follows a “blue collar” unemployed woman who struggles to raise her daughter [who] He takes a job at a failed pharmaceutical startup, only to get involved in a dangerous blackmail scheme.”

In addition to directing “The Pain Hustlers,” Yates is producing through his company, Wychwood Media. Lawrence Gray will also be produced by Gray Matter Productions.

O’Hara, a comedy veteran, recently won her first acting Emmy for her role as mother Moira Rose in “Shit Creek.”

Duplass, known for his independent films such as “The Puffy Chair” and “Jeff, Who Lives at Home,” as well as the HBO series “Togetherness,” has most recently worked on the Netflix show “The Chair” and the HBO Max banking drama “The Industry.” ”

Garcia, whose notable works include “The Godfather Part II,” “Ocean’s Eleven” and “The Lost City,” will next appear in “Book Club 2: The Next Chapter,” along with Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen, and Marie Steenburgen.
