Apple Watch Series 8 Product Red could arrive in a slightly different color

We’re just over a week away from the upcoming Apple event, and the rumors and leaks are getting more and more frequent. With the countdown to the September 7 event, a new batch of rumors have emerged, giving us more details about the Apple Watch Series 8. Apple is expected to release the Series 8, Pro, and possibly follow up on the SE model that was released two years ago.

Early in the morning, Twitter user ShrimpApplePro started tweeting details about the upcoming Apple Watch Series 8. According to the tweets, the upcoming Series 8 watches will not change in size. The new hardware will still be available in two variants: 41mm and 45mm. Those who follow Apple Watch news will note that these are the same sizes that can be found on the current Apple Watch Series 7. The Apple Watch Series 8 is expected to arrive in four aluminum model colors: Midnight, Starlight, Product Red and Silver. Although this is fairly standard, there could be a potential change this year, with ShrimpApplePro stating that the product red version will come in a different color. It’s unclear, at this point, whether it will be lighter or darker, but it’s an interesting change and something to look for.

Watch Series 8 will also be available in a stainless steel version which will be in silver and graphite colours. While the source appears to have more information about the upcoming Pro model, it appears that no details will be shared, saying, “Let’s keep it a secret so we can get caught up in the action. Regarding the accessories, the source states that there will be no differences regarding the accessories included inside the box. However, there will be a little difference in the packaging. Although the exterior will still be nearly identical, there are minor details shared regarding the glue that will be used for the stickers. Apparently, a stronger adhesive will be used so that it is easier to detect when the product is opened. As far as other details we know so far, in terms of pricing, the Series 8 is expected to hit around the same price point as the current Series 7, with the Pro model coming in at somewhere around $1,000.
