Jordan Peele teases the mysterious “Nobody” character

Jordan Peele has captivated fans, critics, and the box office alike with the summertime sci-fi thriller No. And while the end of the movie doesn’t scream for a sequel, as with any of Peele’s films, there’s plenty left to the imagination, including a mysterious IMDb-listed character called “Nobody,” played by Michael Bush.

Peele addressed the uncredited character, fan theories, and the possibility of a sequel in an interview with New York timeshinting: “We’re not done telling all these stories.”

“That character’s story hasn’t been told yet, I can tell you,” Bell said, referring to the IMDb credit. “And which is another frustrating way of saying, I’m glad people are paying attention. I think they will get more answers about some of these things in the future. We haven’t finished telling all these stories.”

Bush’s character ‘Nobody’ does not appear in the final clip of ‘No’, but is seen very briefly in tractorwalking quietly against the stream of a frightened crowd.

“People do a lot of interesting detective work,” Bell said, discussing the character’s fans’ fascination with the character.

Earlier this month, “Nope” crossed $100 million at the domestic box office, marking Peele’s third feature film to achieve that benchmark. The film follows siblings OJ (Daniel Kaluuya) and Emerald Hayworth (Keke Palmer) as they attempt to capture footage of a spooky unknown object circling their family’s farm. It also stars Stephen Yeon and Brandon Perea. “No” is now available on VOD and is still shown in select theaters.
