Apple could supply the iPhone 14 Pro with 30W charging, giving its Pro models a noticeable boost in charging speed as it looks to chase some down Fastest charging phones.
This is according to the tech guide Duanruy (Opens in a new tab) On Twitter, who claimed that a charger brand had sent new chargers to the media suggesting that there was 30W charging on iPhone 14 Pro cards. Right now DuanRui doesn’t have the records of tracking the most solid tech advice, but I hope this rumor is on the money.
iPhone 14 Pro series may use 30W charging power? Recently, a charger brand began to send out new charger products to the media, and it will announce in the trial video of the iPhone 14 series.August 29, 2022
It charges the current iPhone 13 at 20W – that doesn’t mean Apple includes a charger in the box. As a result, this model takes 30 minutes to charge up to 51% capacity, at least in our testing.
This isn’t exactly slow, but it’s also a far cry from some of the fastest charging phones I’ve used, like the Oppo Find X5 Pro and its support for 80W charging. This takes the Find X5 Pro’s drained battery to 50% of capacity in just 12 minutes. In comparison, my iPhone 13 Pro feels slow to charge, which is one of the few inconveniences of switching from Android to iPhone.
Unfortunately, 30W charging for the next generation of iPhones only seems to cover Pro models with the iPhone 14 and the so-called iPhone 14 Max, apparently, left to 20W charging. This could be due to the recent phones holding the A15 Bionic chip that powers the iPhone 13 range, as has been rumored. iPhone 14 Pro models tend to get a new on-chip A16 Bionic system.
When the 30W charging is added along with other iPhone 14 Pro upgrades reported, such as a notch-less design, 48MP camera, an Ultra HD camera upgrade, and an improved chipset, it looks like the Pro models will be the highlight of the Apple event. September, it will likely leave the standard iPhone 14 models in the dust.
We’ll soon find out if that’s really the case because Apple’s show is titled “Far Out” and will take place on September 7. Not only do we expect to see the iPhone 14 range, but we should take a look at the Apple Watch 8 and AirPods Pro 2 as well.
