Dragon House No time was wasted in making history for HBO after the first episode aired, and soon the network issued the official order for the second season. Now, however, the show is going through a major change behind the scenes after releasing just two episodes. Director and co-showrunner Miguel Saposhnik – who was already a big name for Game of thrones Fans after his work on the original series – left prequel.
Sapochnik served as a co-star with Ryan Condal in the first season, and THR Reports that he decided to leave after exhausting himself over three years of development and production Dragon House is happening. He’s still on board as an executive producer. In a statement regarding his departure, Saposhnik said it was an “honor and privilege” to serve within Game of thrones universe and Dragon House team, then continued:
I’m very proud of what we accomplished in season one and happy with the enthusiastic response from our viewers. It was very difficult to decide whether to move forward, but I know it was the right choice for me personally and professionally. As I do so, though, I feel so relieved to know that Alan will be joining the series. He is someone I have known and respected for a long time, and I believe this precious chain could not be in more secure hands. I am thrilled to remain a part of the HBO family and House of the Dragon, and of course I wish Ryan and his team success and all the best in season two and beyond.
Miguel Saposhnik emphasized that it was a difficult decision for him, but he remained on his side. He also referred to Alan Taylor, who joined the plane Dragon House As executive producer and director. He’s set to lead multiple episodes of Season 2, a logical choice to help fill the void left by Sapochnik’s departure.
Like Sapochnik, Alan Taylor directed a number of notable episodes of Game of thronesincluding “Baelor” (aka one of the game-changing episodes with Ned Stark’s tragic ending) in season one and “Beyond the Wall” (which leads to the first death of one of Daenerys’ dragons) in season seven. He is also a veteran of HBO outside the realm of Westeros, having directed gigs soprano And the Rome. So he took out Many Saints in Newark as a prequel movie for soprano.
Miguel Saposhnik was the key to getting him Dragon House To TV, worked closely with A song about snow and fire And the fire and bloodGeorge RR Martin to attest to some of the key book details the author wanted to include. It should be interesting to see if there’s any shift in the final product that fans will notice, but BTS’ changeover won’t take effect before the end of Season 1, which has already finished filming.
HBO also released a statement regarding Miguel Saposhnik’s departure, praising him for his “remarkable work” in creating “a distinctive look and feel” on Season 1 of Dragon Housealthough the network “would have loved Miguel continuing in the same role”.
Although the original co-model will not return in the same role, his legacy will live on. Dragon House. He directed the series’ record-breaking premiere for HBO ratings, and two episodes were enough to build the world of Westeros in an era that was never explored in… Game of thrones.
