A new documentary series about Armie Hammer arrives on Discovery + Friday, promising to delve into the accusations that have made headlines against the actor over the past year, as well as the dark past of his wealthy family.
The tractor “House of Hammer,” which was dropped earlier this month, includes clips of conversations with the actor’s ex-girlfriends Courtney Voskovic and Julia Morrison, who provided screenshots of text conversations, voice memos and photos to back up their accounts of the alleged abuse they suffered. The trailer ends with the huge fascination that Hammer’s aunt, Casey Hammer, will appear in the docuseries, as she talks about her family.

Directed by Elie Hakami and Julian B. Hobbs, the series will use a combination of archival content and interviews with survivors and family members to help expose “immorality, deceit, abuse, addiction, and corruption” within five generations of Hammer’s men, to the series’ official lineup.
Hammer, who has starred in blockbuster movies like “The Social Network,” “Call Me by Your Name” and most recently, the Disney movie “Death on the Nile,” is the grandson of oil magnate Armand Hammer. Last year, his agency WMF dropped him after he faced a slew of accusations of sexual assault and inappropriate behavior by several women.
The allegations against the actor first made headlines in early 2021 when screenshots of text messages shared on social media appeared to show a cannibal hummer. What followed was a firestorm of similar accounts from other women, including a more serious accusation of rape from a woman who came forward and is represented by attorney Gloria Allred.
