Armie Hammer Docuseries to remove the image of the alleged bite mark

“House of Hammer,” a new documentary series from Discovery+ about sexual abuse allegations against Armie Hammer, is making a change after its release, removing an image of an alleged bite mark that a former actress believes is a picture of her body. Turns out the image in question looks like a bite mark tattoo from Pinterest.

In “House of Hammer,” Courtney Voskovitch – one of Hammer’s former partners, who has accused him of inappropriate sexual behavior – discusses the love bombardment, coercion, and abuse she claims she endured during her relationship with the actor. In an on-camera interview, she said the actor convinced her of BDSM situations that didn’t make her feel safe, including rope bondage and biting.

“He bites really hard,” Voskovitch says in House of Hammer. As she provides details of the alleged bite, a photo of a bite mark appears. Voskovic says in the document that she believes the photo of her body was taken by Hammer.

“He tells you to wear it like a badge of honor,” she says of Hammer’s alleged bite marks. “It almost convinced me that I was lucky to have it. Although it seems turbulent, at the time, I would interpret it as love. Looking at it now, it makes me sick. It pushes your limits a little at a time.”

Shortly after the docuseries premiered, social media users on TikTok, Instagram and Twitter noticed that the image looked similar to a bite mark tattoo image that had originated online and appeared to have been found on Pinterest.

Now, Talos Films, which produced “House of Hammer,” is in the process of removing the image from the documentary series, diverse Made sure on.

In a statement, the production company reiterated its support for Vucekovich and Hammer’s other accusers.

When new information came in about this series, we immediately began investigating it and will make any appropriate changes as soon as possible,” a spokesperson for the documentary series said in a statement, which was obtained by The Associated Press. diverse. “We are proud of those who have come forward to share their truth with the public – including Courtney Voskovic and Casey Hammer – and stand firmly behind the important message in this documentary series.”

Over the weekend, Vucekovich released a statement to Peopleexplaining that Hammer sent her the picture during her relationship and she believed that the picture was a picture of her body.

When bombarded with love, you receive multiple images in quick succession. During my time with Armie, I received many messages including countless photos and videos. The bite mark shown was a photo that my ARMY sent in an archived text string and over a year later, I thought it was a photo of me since I had dozens of photos depicting his abuse on my body,” Voskovitch told the publication. “I chose to tell my story to highlight what I went through. him in my relationship hoping that others won’t be put in the same situation.”

In the novel “House of Hammer,” Voskovitch says that Hammer once left a letter in an envelope in her apartment building, in which he said “I’m going to bite the fuck off you” with his autograph. An image of that image (which was not verified by Hammer) was also displayed on the screen.

In an interview conducted last week before the docuseries were dropped, the directors of “House of Hammer” said: diverse They were “strictly vetted” during the film-making process.

When asked Julian B. Hobbs, who co-directed with Elie Hakami, about confirming the accounts of Hammer’s accusers, said diverse: “We always check our films through multiple lawyers. No movie we’ve done has been checked more than this one because we had to correct it. It wasn’t just a double source. It had three sources. It was like, “When in doubt, leave it.” There was rigorous research and archival and legal review every step of the way for all of the film’s material. I’ll be honest, even a couple of days ago, we were replacing an image because we weren’t 100% sure it was attributed to the right person and place, and that we had permission to use it.”

Hammer did not respond to any allegations made in “House of Hammer”, and the actor’s lawyer did not respond to diverseComment requested when the documentaries premiered last week. However, the actor previously and persistently denied all allegations. Hammer’s attorney stated that each sexual encounter was “consensual, discussed and agreed in advance, and mutually participatory.”

Hammer was hit with allegations of sexual assault in early 2021, after a wave of “cannibal” headlines dominated the popular media. Then he was dropped by his agency, WME, and with a series of high profile projects, he was basically kicked out of Hollywood. A source close to the actor previously said diverse That Hammer spent time in the treatment facility recovering after the public scandal. He does not currently have any existing projects, and is the subject of an ongoing LAPD investigation, stemming from a rape allegation he categorically denies from one of his former partners, Evie. In an interview last week, Evie — who is represented by attorney Gloria Allred, who appears on “House of Hammer” — spoke out against the documentaries saying, “The way they used my trauma is disgusting… They remind me of Armie.”
