Consortium acquires Vertigo Films producing ‘Britannia’

Pascal Breton banner European Federation Entertainment (“The Bureau”) has acquired a majority stake in Vertigo Films, the British production company behind the blockbuster TV shows “Britannia” and “Bulletproof”. The London-based company is also a producer of BO films such as “StreetDance 3D” and “The Sweeney” and award-winning titles including “Monsters” by Gareth Edwards and the film Bronson by Nicholas Winding Refn..

Founded 20 years ago by executive producers Allan Niblo and James Richardson, Vertigo is currently in post-production with Jez Butterworth’s new comedy-drama series “Mammals,” starring James Corden and Sally Hawkins for Amazon, and the epic gangster thriller “A” in ’80s Town Called Malice” by Nick Love for Sky Max. The banner has just wrapped principal photography for a new movie for Sky Cinema, with more details to be announced at a later time.

The deal confirms the ambitions of both Vertigo Films and the Federation to expand their offering of premium content to the global market and increase their investment in prestigious label production and creative talent.

Moore, CEO of Vertigo, in a joint statement. “Bringing the most daring ideas of extraordinary talent to life is in our DNA and now having such a prolific partner in union is an opportunity to expand and push our ambitious roster at full speed.”

Founded in 2013, led by Pascal Breton and co-managed by Lionel Ozan, Federation has a total of 20 subsidiaries or production companies headquartered in Paris, Los Angeles, Rome, Madrid, Berlin, Cologne, London, Brussels and Tel Aviv. Among the group’s most famous nicknames are “The Office”, “The Cure”, “The Child”, “Hostages”, “Marseille”, “Bad Banks”, “Your Honor”, “Around the World in 80 Days” and “Not Bleus 2018: At the Heart of the Epic” Russian” and “Find Me in Paris”.
