Houston youth football player’s mom caught on camera going after 12-year-old opponent!

Houston, Texas (KTRK) – A parent of the Youth Football League and Cheerleading is in a heated case, accused of stalking a 12-year-old during a minor league soccer game last weekend and threatening to slap the child.

Eyewitnesses say the woman was upset that the 12-year-old girl handled her child.

The 12-year-old’s mother filed a police report about the situation.

While the woman never touched the child, the victim’s mother said it was upsetting that someone was threatening her son for what should have been a fun game.

Houston police confirm they are looking into the matter.

This was the first game of the season for the Southside Ravens, and they were facing Northwest Gorillas. The game was interrupted just a few minutes after its start due to a parent stalking the player for his dealings with her son.

An incident report from the Youth Football League and Cheerleading League revealed that the parent in question was violating multiple Code of Conduct policies.

YFF describes women as a real threat to the environment.

Along with the incident report, YFF President Edward Hart sent this statement to ABC13:

“This was an accident that could have ended worse than what happened. A parent running into the playing field after the opposing team player is in could have the opposite effect on the child’s parent’s reaction in kind in defense of his child, not to mention potential reactions from staff of both teams Fortunately the crew of both teams were able to get things under control and did not allow the incident to escalate. And a police officer assigned to the site de-escalated matters by escorting the offending party out of the facility. This particular facility does not have our standard access control policies as it is basically An open field with multiple entry points, and no barriers between spectators and the game field.”

Hart says the woman has been permanently banned from all YFF events and activities, as have the rest of her family and children.

The woman will need to pay a $200 fine, as will her son’s ex-team, Northwest Gorilla, who have been fined $500, for failing to control marginalization.

While we weren’t able to get the woman involved, Northwest Gorillas made a statement on social media in which they apologized.

“First of all we would like to apologize to my young parent who was unnecessarily chased across the field by a parent who was part of our organization. There is no doubt that the look or feel is okay and is in no way tolerated. Since the removal of Both parents and children are from the NWG because we do not stand with anyone’s child being harmed.Yesterday, it was a very emotional day as our parents felt that their children were not safe due to the level of aggression shown by the opposing players and parents. Families except for our village, we apologize for putting you guys in unsafe conditions. We all know minor league soccer has long since moved away from its sole purpose of being around kids. However, our goal was to bring it back, and after yesterday I feel like we didn’t show it. We do our best to do our part to ensure that children are provided with a safe, fun and family oriented environment. Although we cannot control anyone else’s actions/emotions, we want to take responsibility for our behavior as a whole, what role it played and how it was presented in yesterday’s event. Despite the behavior shown by the opposing team, there was no reason to escalate him to this degree or manner. We sincerely regret how this affected everyone inside and outside our organization. We appreciate all of our devoted fathers who constantly ride for us.”

The family of the stalked player says that no one has apologized to her or her family. The child’s mother told ABC13 she was happy that the YFF had taken measures to keep the children safe. She says the priority is the safety of the kids and letting them have fun, because at the end of the day, that’s what they’re supposed to do in minor league soccer.
