Dickinson, TX (KTRK) – A man has been arrested and charged with murder after MPs said he shot his father to death in Dickinson.

Brandon Lee Dixon, 39, is accused of shooting his father, Larry Alvin Dixon, 71, in the lower abdomen, causing his death.
Deputies in the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office said they received a call about a disturbance at Building 4700 of East 24th Street.
That’s when authorities said they found Larry with a gunshot wound and rushed him to Clear Lake Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Eyewitnesses at the scene told the deputies that a physical altercation between the father and son led to the shooting.
Brandon is being held in Galveston County Jail without waiting for bail.
