Missing woman: University of Texas sophomore Aliayae Hayes,20, last seen Wednesday by roommates on campus!

Austin, Texas (KTRK) – A 20-year-old University of Texas student and Houston native has been reported missing in Austin by her parents after they didn’t hear about her.

Aliayae Haynes was last seen at the Ball Park North Apartments at 4600 Elemont Drive.

The next day, the parents received a call on Haynes’ cell phone from a man who had found her belongings lying in a grassy area at 2803 Manor Road in Austin.

The family then traveled to Austin to find Haynes and ask questions. They went to her apartment, which she shared with three roommates, who said the last time they saw Hines was the previous Wednesday.

Haynes’ classmate also spoke to her parents, telling them that the last time he saw her was Thursday on the bus. The classmate also said he thought Hayes didn’t show up at her 3:30 p.m. class because it was muddy.

Heinz’s mother said her daughter was very organized and never ran away.

Security in the apartments where Haynes is staying has conducted a welfare check. They said there was nothing out of the ordinary in her room.

The family said they had not found their debit card and hoped to be with them, but when they checked their bank, they said there had been no suspicious activity.

There was one friend the parents knew of who told the family that the last time he saw her was on a Monday.

The family says the Austin Police Department questioned him and he was acquitted.

Hines was last seen wearing a green T-shirt and baggy jeans, her hair styled in an afro, according to the family post.
