“This is a worldwide emergency. This requires a global response,” he said.

Stormy rains and resulting floods caused 1,396 deaths and 12,728 injuries in the country between June 14 and September 9. Dawn displaced more than 30 million people.

Sindh is by far the worst hit area, representing the most transitions and wounds. Of the 1,396 deaths across the country, Sindh has 578 deaths. The number of injuries is 8,321 out of the absolute 12,728 nationwide.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said on Saturday that his bloc would strongly advocate for “commitment trade” with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank, which would allow developing countries, including Pakistan, to pay back loans to unknown lenders instead of paying them back. – The Express Tribune announced that there is an opportunity to use this cash to put resources into the power of the environment, practical interests and the green progress of their economies.

“We will continue to push for these arrangements with the IMF and the World Bank in the near future, as well as at the G-20 meeting,” Guterres told the media as he landed at Karachi’s old airport terminal.

“Express Tribune” reports that the UN chief spoke with the global local region to increase aid to flood-affected Pakistan.

“What we are seeing here in Pakistan is that nature is striking back with devastating consequences,” he said, adding: “I have seen many disasters on the planet, but I have never seen environmental bloodshed on this scale.”
