Brendan Fraser emotional reunion with co-star The Mummy after 14 years | movies | entertainment

About 20 years ago, Brendan Fraser has been one of Hollywood’s biggest stars. Today, at 53, he’s making something of a comeback with Darren Aronofsky’s The Whale, which had its premiere at the Venice International Film Festival.

After the North American premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival where he received the Tribute Award, Fraser bumped into one of his co-stars in The Mummy.

Production company A24 acquired the actor who had a touching encounter with ex-Bond girl Michelle Yeoh, who was there to receive the inaugural Share Her Journey Groundbreaker Award.

Earlier this year, she starred in the highest-grossing A24 movie of all time, Everything Everywhere Everywhere, to critical acclaim. In an emotional reunion nearly 14 years after the release of The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, the 60-year-old was caught holding the face of superstar Rick O’Connell in her hands.

Fans will remember that Yeoh played Zi Yuan in the third movie Mummy, an immoral witch whose Dragon Emperor (Jet Li) sought the secret to her eternal life.

Her reunion with Fraser was simply commented on in an A24 tweet: “Brendan and Michelle [heart emoji]. “

One fan commented, “Actual tears now,” while another added, “Best actor and best actress out there. Please make it happen!!” Fraser has previously shared his only condition for a comeback in The Mummy 4.

Fraser praised his co-star Rachel Weisz from the first two Mummy films, and added, “I mean, come on. It’s Rachel Weisz, she’s beautiful. I hung out with all the show on this show. Which is good, that’s all talk. I was just a guy like ‘Hurry, let’s go, come on! This thing will go fuss!’ ‘It worked.’
