Jane Montague is the daughter of Jane Daniel, her son John Montague, his son Henry Brown Montague, his son William Lathan Montague, his daughter Alice Warfield, and her daughter Bessie Wallis Warfield.
Now the latter married Earl Winfield Spencer Jr. in 1916, before divorcing in 1927. She then married Ernest Aldrich Simpson in 1928 making her new name Wallis Simpson.
The American socialite was famously adored by David nicknamed Edward, Prince of Wales, who succeeded his father, King George V, as British monarch in 1936.
However, King Edward VIII caused a constitutional crisis when he proposed to Mrs. Simpson, a twice-divorced American.
