Cardi B pleads guilty to 2018 strip club attack and avoids prison sentence

Cardi B has agreed to a plea deal over the 2018 strip club incident in which the rapper was accused of allegedly ordering an attack on two bartenders, sisters Jade and Baddie Gi, at the Angels Strip Club in Queens, New York

Cardi pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts, third-degree assault and reckless endangerment, and was sentenced to 15 days of community service. However, the original indictment contained 12 counts, including two felonies. All remaining ten charges were dropped.

The sisters allege Cardi believed Jade slept with her husband – Offset of Migos, who was performing at the cabaret that night – and ordered her crew to throw bottles and chairs at them. They also claim that Cardi threw at least one bottle at them. A source close to the rapper described the attack as “spontaneous” and said it started after someone had a drink, adding that nothing was planned. The women were reportedly infected but refused medical treatment. After the 2018 incident, Cardi turned herself in to the police and received a summons.

Jade and Buddy J’s attorney, Joseph Takobina, said: diverse Back in 2018, “Whether [Cardi is] A famous rapper or famous rapper, she should be held accountable for her criminal acts. It’s as simple as that: I ordered the beating after I threatened my clients and later participated in an assault on them.”

Cardi said in a statement, “Part of growing up and growing up is being responsible for your actions. As a mother, it’s a practice I try to instill in my children, but the example starts with me. I’ve made some bad decisions in the past that I’m not afraid to face and enjoy. These moments don’t define me nor It reflects who I am now. I’m looking forward to getting past this situation with my family and friends and getting back to the things I love the most — my music and my fans.”
