Within days, a new era of Quantum leap It’ll be on our TV screens, with NBC releasing a new reboot of the groundbreaking sci-fi series. One of the biggest questions on fans’ minds was whether Scott Bakula, who starred in the original series as Sam Beckett, would somehow consider the actions. In a series of tweets published Thursday, Bakula made it clear that he’s not involved in the show’s current incarnation — but Sam Pickett was briefly included in a copy of the pilot script.
Bakula’s thread reads in part: “I have no connection with the new show, either in front of or behind the camera.” “In January, the pilot was sold and I was sent a text because the character Sam Beckett was in it, which makes sense, doesn’t it? Many of you have also asked me in the past several months, ‘How do you do QL without Sam?'” “(Or Al, for that matter) Well, I think we’re about to find out. That’s the story. With the show always near and dear to my heart, it was a very difficult decision to pass on the project, and one that upset and confused many fans of the original series.” However, the idea of anyone “jumping” in time and walking a mile in someone else’s shoes remains a very attractive concept and well worth exploring, especially given the current state of humanity. To take advantage of the magic that pushed the original quantum leap into the hearts and minds of generations past and present. I wish them good luck and happy leap!”

what’s new Quantum leap Around?
in the new Quantum leap, It’s been nearly 30 years since Dr. Sam Beckett got into the Quantum Leap accelerator and disappeared. Now, a new team, led by physicist Ben Song (Raymond Lee), has been assembled to restart the project in hopes of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it. Everything changes, however, when Ben makes an unauthorized jump in the past, leaving the team behind to solve the mystery of why he did it. Addison (Caitlin Bassett) stands beside Ben throughout his jumps, which appears as a hologram only Ben can see and hear. She’s a decorated veteran of the military that lends a subtlety to her job.
Leading the top-secret operation, Herbert “Magic” Williams (Ernie Hudson), is a no-nonsense professional military man who has to respond to his superiors who won’t be happy once they learn of a breach of protocol. The rest of the team at headquarters includes Ian Wright (Mason Alexander Park), who runs the Ziggy AI unit, and Jane Chu (Nanrisa Lee), who heads the project’s digital security. As Ben leaps from life to life, and corrects what went wrong, it is clear that he and his team are on an exciting journey. However, Addison, Magic, Ian, and Jane know that if they are going to solve the mystery of Ben’s jump and bring him home, they must act quickly or lose him forever.
