The revival of “Criminal Minds” sets the date for its premiere at Paramount +

“Criminal Minds: Evolution,” the streaming revival of the popular CBS series, has an official date for its premiere on Paramount+.

The 10-episode first season of the new series will air in two episodes on November 24. New episodes will drop weekly Thursday through the mid-season finale on December 15. New episodes will resume on January 12th until the end on February 9th.

The series was announced by Erica Messer during a panel discussion on the occasion of the Virtual Television Critics Association (TCA) Day organized by Paramount+.

“Criminal Minds: Evolution” was ordered in July and first reported as being in development in early 2021. It will see the return of original cast members Joe Mantegna, AJ Cook, Kirsten Vangsness, Aisha Tyler, Adam Rodriguez and Paget Brewster. Zach Guilford will also appear as a recurring guest star for a season. The show will combine sequential storytelling with the procedural format of the original series.

According to the series’ official description, “The FBI’s elite team of crime editors face their greatest threat yet, UnSub who has used the pandemic to build a network of other serial killers. As the world opens up again and the network operates, the team must go after them, one murder in every-time “.

Messer serves as writer, show director, and executive producer. Brian Fraser and Chris Barbour are writers and executive producers, while Glenn Kershaw will direct production and executive. Mark Gordon will also serve as executive producer. Produced by ABC Signature and CBS Studios.

Created by Jeff Davis, “Criminal Minds” was an incredibly popular CBS series that began in 2005 and runs for 15 seasons and 324 episodes. It remained one of the most watched CBS programs throughout most of its time on the air. The series concluded with the broadcaster in February 2020.
