Netflix renews ‘Ultimatum’, names new host for ‘Ultimatum: Queer Love’

Netflix has renewed several popular love and dating shows, including “Love on the Spectrum” and “The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On.” In addition, JoAnna Garcia Swisher will host the upcoming series, “The Ultimatum: Queer Love”.

Love on the Spectrum, the docu-reality series that follows people on the autism spectrum as they navigate the dating world, is returning for a new season after winning three Emmy Awards. Karina Holden and CEO Sian Oakley produce the Northern Pictures series.

“The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On,” which debuted in April 2022 and spent four weeks in the top ten list, will return for a second season with six new couples all about to get married. According to the official description, “One partner he is Willing to marry another no Just as it is certain. An ultimatum is issued—and in just over eight weeks, they must commit to marriage, or move on. In the meantime, they will each choose a new potential partner from one of the other couples, in a life-changing opportunity to get a glimpse into two different potential futures.”

Nick and Vanessa Lachey, who also hosts “Love Is Blind,” will return for the next season of Kinetic Content. Chris Cullen, Eric Dettweiler, Sarah Dilliston, and Stephanie Boerivin are executive producers.

The pair will not be hosting the spin-off, “The Warning: Eccentric Love,” which has already been completed. JoAnna Garcia Swisher will host the show, which follows new couples made up of women and non-binary people at a turning point in their relationship as one is ready for marriage and the other is not. Over the course of eight weeks, each pair will marry or separate.

Netflix also announced Thursday that “Love is Blind” is currently casting for the next season at LoveIsBlind.CastingCrane.com. In addition, the third season of “Reconciliation of India” and the new series “Reconciliation of the Jews” will be coming to Netflix in the spring. Each will consist of eight one-hour episodes. Aaron Saidman, Ellie Holzman, JC Begley, and Smriti Mundra are executive producers.
