When “The Walking Dead” ends, fans of Carol and Daryl may have something to look forward to after all.
In 2020, AMC announced a new show that will follow the characters of Melissa McBride and Norman Reedus. However, the network revealed last April, that since the show moved to Europe, logistically speaking, McBride hasn’t been able to make it work. At the time, Reedus defended her choice.
“Twelve years is a stressful schedule,” he said on “The Tonight Show” at the time. “She’s wanted to take a while and she does. She deserves it.”
Now, he explains the logistics of the sub-part—and hints that the story isn’t over for Carol and Daryl.
When asked what Daryl’s world would look like without Carol, he asked, “How do you know she won’t be back?”
“The spin-off was announced before the end of The Walking Dead was even announced. We always thought we’d do a show that would go back to the main show — we’d go off, and then go back to the main show,” Reedus says. diverse. “Then they finished the main show, and we were on our own. Then we filmed for a year and a half straight, through the start of COVID. At that point, Melissa wasn’t going to do the show. And then she was going to do the show. The actor, who received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame later this month, in addition to McBride, has co-starred in “The Walking Dead” since its debut in 2010.
