Netflix teases more ‘Hellbound’ and Money Heist: Korea

The full and correct confirmation of Season 2 of the mystery horror series “Hellbound” has been high on the agenda for Netflix’s consumer-oriented Tudum show.

Korean shows have repeatedly achieved top ratings among the list of non-English broadcast players, and last November’s release of “Hellbound” was the show that finally ditched “Squid Game” after several weeks of stellar success.

“Hellbound” is a derivative of a Webtoon created by series director Yeon Sang-ho, who previously directed “Train to Busan” and “Peninsula.” Angels from the underworld have appeared to condemn individuals to hell at a specific time in the future, minutes or years away.

There has been anticipation of a second season since mid-June when Korean media fans started reporting on the casting options.

Netflix released a teaser video on Saturday morning KST, but has not confirmed when the new season will be uploaded. Watch tease here.

Just as expected was the thrill of “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area.” The show is a Korean remake of the hit Netflix Spanish crime thriller “Money Heist” (“La Casa de Papel”) which ran for five small seasons. Aside from the 15-minute intro, the creation of the future background of the newly unified Korea, the Korean version made only minor modifications to the original. However, it managed to surpass the Netflix ratings in many Asian countries in its first week. watch the A video of season two is here.

“The Fabulous”, a youth series set in the fashion world is in the making. Starring Minho (real name Choi Minho) from popular K-pop boy band SHINee and actress Chae Soo-bin (“I Am Not A Robot”, “Sweet & Sour”), in the story of four best friends chasing their career dreams. The fan presentation included a taped interview with Minhee, who plays the role of the independent image enhancer in the upcoming series. “Aside from an engaging plot that takes a very realistic look at love, friendship and dreams, you can tune in to this new series for a stunning visual feast,” the company promised.

There was more excitement for the scary electronic horror series “The Glitch” and the feature film “20th Century Girl.”

Window’s Korean content extends far beyond dramas and feature films. It showed the first screenshots of the extreme game show “Physicist 100”. The series features 100 men and women who endure hardships and feats in their quest for a prize for the best body. The A sneak peek can be found here.

There was also the tempting promise of running an episode longer than 101 episodes for the second season of “Singles Inferno.” Season 1 of Lovebirds, Moon Se-hoon, and Shin Ji-yeon were on hand to give Tudum viewers a spin on the Inferno Island tour and to tease the developments of the second iteration.
