‘Wednesday’: Christina Ricci, Fred Armisen’s roles revealed in trailer

The official Netflix trailer for the upcoming horror comedy series “Wednesday” has been revealed at New York Comic Con, in which comedian Fred Armisen is revealed to be the bald and extremely pale Uncle Fester.

Furthermore, the trailer revealed the role of Christina Ricci in the series, which has been kept shrouded in secrecy since it was announced in March. Ricci played Wed Adams in the two Barry Sonnenfeld family films, the 1991 movie The Addams Family and the 1993 movie The Addams Family Values. In “Wednesday,” Ritchie plays a teacher at Nevermore Academy, where she started Wed Adams (Gina Ortega) As a student, she will work to hone her psychic abilities.

As for Armisen’s surprise, in the new trailer, Wednesday is pleasantly surprised when he reveals a supposed threat to be her uncle Fester, riding a Dalmatian-style motorcycle with a sidecar. Christopher Lloyd was best known for playing the Uncle Fester movies in the ’90s, and there were also rumors online that Johnny Depp – the regular Tim Burton – would play a role in the Netflix series, which would have been his first major acting role since the libel trial. Miles Millar and Al Gough serve as showrunners and executive producers, while eclectic director Tim Burton leads the series for four episodes as well as executive production.
