The Pixel Watch is said to be missing some Fitbit features

No irregular heartbeat notifications, automatic workout tracking, and more

The Pixel Watch is not only Google’s first Wear OS smartwatch, but it’s also the first non-Fitbit smartwatch to offer Fitbit integration. It gives you access to a host of features you’d find on Fitbit smartwatches, such as the recently released Sense 2 or Versa 4, making it a great option for existing Fitbit users. However, recent reports indicate that the smartwatch is not getting the full set of fitness tracking features found in other Fitbit smartwatches.

according to ConnectTheWatts (Across 9to5Google), the Pixel Watch lacks support for automatic exercise tracking, irregular heartbeat notifications, and some other features found on Fitbit smartwatches. A comparison of the Pixel Watch’s spec sheet with Fitbit smartwatches on the Google Store reveals that the former does not support automatic start, stop, and pause of exercises and swim tracking. However, the Pixel Watch listing on Fitbit’s website and a dedicated Google Store listing indicate that the watch does indeed offer automatic workout tracking.

It’s not immediately clear which list is exact, as we haven’t had a chance to put the Pixel Watch in its stride. But we expect Google to share some clarifications in the coming days.

Auto workout tracking and swim stroke tracking aren’t the only features allegedly missing on the Pixel Watch. ConnectTheWatts It states that, compared to the latest Fitbit smartwatches, the Pixel Watch also lacks high/low heart rate notifications, arrhythmia notifications, guided breathing, sleep profile support, silent/SmartAwake alerts, and average nighttime blood oxygen, The scope, the trends over time.

Furthermore, the Pixel Watch reportedly does not offer all-day body response tracking and stress management using EDA sensors either. These features are available on Fitbit Sense 2.

If you’re in the market for a new smartwatch and want access to the above-mentioned features, you might want to hold off your Pixel Watch purchase until Google makes a statement. But if the missing features aren’t a deal breaker, you can pre-order the Pixel Watch by following the link below.
