Peacock’s ‘Once Upon a Time in Londongrad’ sets release date, trailer

Peacock has set a release date and a trailer for Once Upon a Time in Lundongrad, a six-part documentary about the Russian oligarchy and Vladimir Putin’s regions outside of Russia.

The series, from Buzzfeed Studios and Rise Films, is scheduled to premiere on November 15 on the streaming platform.

Once Upon a Time in Lundongrad directed by Oscar-nominated WeWork director Jade Rothstein.

It follows BuzzFeed News investigative reporter Heidi Blake as she follows advice about the death of a multimillion-dollar businessman, leading her to dig into the tangled web of Russian oligarchs, the British government, and Washington, D.C., with shocking poisoning. Russian dissident and Putin critic Alexander Litvinenko, the suspicious death of Russian oligarch Boris Berezovsky, who was found dead at his ex-wife’s home in Ascot, and an attempt to commission former Russian spy Sergei Skripal.

Falling into two decades of Vladimir Putin’s rule in power, the Long Line says, ‘Once Upon a Time in Lundongrad’ illustrates how the UK became dependent on Russian money and missed opportunities to contain the Kremlin.

The film was produced by Rise Films in association with Universal International Studios, a division of the Universal Studio Group, BuzzFeed Studios and Concordia Studio.

Teddy Leifer serves as executive producer and Guy Horlock as serial producer for Rise Films on the series. Richard Alan Reed and Carolina Waklawek are co-executive producers for BuzzFeed Studios while Concordia Studio co-executive producers are Nicole Stott and Jonathan Silberberg. The series is distributed internationally by NBCUniversal Global Distribution.
