Speculation about who could replace Daniel Craig as James Bond has been circulating for more than a year since No Time To Die was released in cinemas. The outgoing star was selected in 2005, beating future Superman star Henry Cavill to make his Casino Royale debut. However, the Doctor Who star has now confirmed that he was on EON Productions’ list of potential new 007 reboots at the time as well.
David Tennant, who replaced Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor the same year he saw his last Bond auditions, confessed in the second episode of the Acting for Others podcast.
The topic came up during the Doctor’s 10th conversation with I May Destroy You’s Paapa Essiedu, whose current best odds of replacing Craig are 40-1.
