‘As We See It’ has been canceled after one season at Amazon

“As We See It” was canceled on Amazon after only one season, diverse Learn.

The eight-episode drama originally appeared on the streaming service in January. The show came from Jason Katims and based on the Israeli series “On the Spectrum,” starring Rick Glassman, Albert Roticki, Sue Ann Bean, Suzy Bacon, Chris Pang and Joe Mantegna.

According to the series’ official description, it follows “Jack (Glassman), Harrison (Rotiki) and Violet (Ben), roommates on the 20s on the autism spectrum, as they strive to get and keep jobs, make friends, fall in love, and navigate a world that eludes them. With the help of their families, their help, and sometimes each other, roommates face setbacks and celebrate victories on their unique journeys toward independence and acceptance.”

Glassman, Rottky, and Bean are all known to live on the autism spectrum. The show received strong reviews from critics when it debuted, with season one currently earning a 90% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

In addition to creating “As We See It,” Katims has served as executive producer and showrunner across True Jack Productions. Jenny Mullen, Dana Stern, Dana Idessis, Yuval Schafferman, and Audi Segal also produced. Idisis and Shafferman created the song On the Spectrum. Jesse Peretz, directed and executed the first episode. The series is produced by Universal Television, Yes Studios in Israel, and Amazon Studios.
