Italian company Lux Vide has unveiled first-look photos from the second series, “Good Morning Mom,” starring Raul Buffa and Maria Chiara Janetta.
The show, which debuted in 2021, sees Buffa as a father trying to keep his family together after his wife falls into a coma. But her presence, albeit silent, is still very important to everyone around her.
The first season was sold to multiple regions, including Hungary, Croatia, Brazil, and the Middle East and North Africa regions.
Everything will change for the Borghis family in the show’s second round, Lux Vide chief Luca Bernabei promises at Mipcom, as the audience deals with a new mystery and is finally able to discover details about their complicated past.
“Something big is happening to this family. It is like an atomic bomb dropping on all of them. This season, everything will be different.”
Burnaby, who recently announced his company’s transition to unscripted mode, calls “Good Morning Mom” one of the shows he’s most proud of.
“It’s about waiting. What does waiting mean in life? Waiting for love and friendship. These days, we don’t like waiting anymore, but these people decided to do it. In this fast-paced world, they are trying to stay together as one.”
Buffa, who emerged from a successful outing in “Don Mateo” season 13 — the next one in the process of writing — embraced the opportunity to play the “imperfect” father, he says. and husband.
“I fell in love with this series because I was wondering how this man could love this woman so much that, Luca said, he decided to wait so long. And he dealt with all these problems, with the children, hoping to talk to her again.”
He admits he was “shocked” by the twists and turns of season two.
“We are going to see a completely different side of this family. It is a very intense and emotional show. You think you only know one thing to prove you wrong.”

One of Italy’s most popular actors, he has also appeared in the likes of “The Tourist”, “Under the Tuscan Sun” or “All Roads Lead to Rome” alongside Sarah Jessica Parker.
“One of my friends went through something similar. I saw how it affected him or his children, how difficult it was, and also financially,” he admits.
“What goes through your head in such a situation? What helps you accept it? It’s weird with Luca, because sometimes I cross something and then it comes up with a text that reflects it.”
The show is based on the true story of a woman who has been in a coma for 29 years. In “Good Morning Mom,” the character of Maria Chiara Giannetta is revealed through flashbacks.
