Taylor Swift Shows “Midnight” Music Videos With Chaim and Laura Dern

Taylor Swift gave fans an early glimpse into the music videos for her tenth album “Midnights” in a trailer during “Friday Night Football.”

“I just wanted first of all to say a big thank you to Amazon for giving me a chance to show you guys a first-look trailer of secret projects I’ve been working on for a really long time,” Swift said during the trailer. “These projects are the ‘Midnights’ music films, and the music videos I made for this album to visually explore the world of this record. I love storytelling, I love songwriting, I love writing videos, I love directing. And this was a really fun opportunity to work again with cinematographer Rina Yang, who was my collaborator on the short film All Too Well 10 minutes long.So we really wanted to challenge ourselves to do different things this time and stretch and I’m really proud of what we made and I really hope you like it.We’ve worked with some great actors, which you’ll find out more about in End of the teaser trailer.

Listed among the cast include album producer Jack Antonoff, Leith Ashley, Mike Berpiglia, Laura Dern, John Early, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Alana Haim, Danielle Haim, East Haim, Pat McGrath and Dita Von Teese.

Earlier Thursday, in a video posted to Twitter at 9:13 a.m. ET (coincidence?), Swift said, “Hey guys, it’s Taylor. If I tune into Thursday night’s soccer game on Amazon Prime, I’ll throw a A first look at the secret projects I’ve been working on hard for a very long time, getting ready for the “Midnights” album.

For the past month, Swift has been teasing the titles of “Midnight” songs, which she called “the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life.” Earlier Thursday, rambling fans found out that Swift had teased lyrics off the album five months earlier, giving a speech at New York University. “We’ll breathe in, breathe in, breathe deeply, exhale,” Swift said in her notes, before joking, “And now I’m a doctor, so I know how breathing works.”

Now, Spotify billboards promoting “Midnights” that have been spotted around the world in cities like Nashville, Tenn, and Sao Paulo, Brazil read: “Breathe, breathe, breathe deeply, breathe deeply.”

Revealing all the song titles earlier this month, Swift announced that Lana Del Rey will be appearing on Track 4 titled “Snow on the Beach.” Swift wrote on Instagram: “Quite a twist to the end.”

Despite teasing the album for about two months, Swift has not released a single single for the album. “Midnights” drops on October 21.
