Beyoncé hasn’t officially announced or commented on the tour yet, and there was no immediate response from her reps. “Renaissance” was released in July, but details about the project’s upcoming parts, visuals and live performances have been kept under wraps.

Beyoncé, Jay-Z and their daughter Blue Ivy attended the opening ceremony in Santa Monica, which was hosted by the singer’s mother and stepfather (WACO founders and co-art directors), Tina Knowles-Lawson and Richard Lawson. The event, sponsored by Amazon Music and Shea Moisture, also welcomed many honorees such as Angela Bassett, Lupita Nyong’o, Kelly Rowland, Quinta Bronson and Michelle Williams.

The “Harlem Nights” event was a fundraiser in support of WACO’s technical and outreach programs, and also highlighted the organization’s joint mission (begun by the Lawsons in 2017) for diversity and inclusion. The night was hosted by Keke Palmer and featured an Andra Day special as well as musical tributes from Chloe and Halle Bailey.
