Jane Brown of Peacock heads to BBC News USA with NPR’s Saeed Ahmed

BBC News has appointed two US executives. Jane Brown joins the company as Senior Vice President of Programming and Content Strategy at BBC Studios Global Digital News & Streaming, while Saeed Ahmed serves as Head of Digital Press in the United States.

Headquartered in New York, Brown will be responsible for defining the BBC’s broader content strategy and real-world digital platforms outside the UK. She will report to Jenny Bird, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Global Digital News and Live Broadcasting. Ahmed will be based in Washington, D.C. and will oversee the company’s digital news content targeting American audiences while reporting to Stuart Millar, Executive Digital News Editor.

I know only Jane Brown and Said Ahmed are the team that are driving and delivering BBC News’ growth in the United States.”

Brown heads to the BBC after serving as Senior Vice President of Programming for NBCUniversal at Peacock TV, a position she has held since January 2020.
