Nick Grad and Jenna Balian have been given new titles for the co-chairs of FX Entertainment.
The duo were previously co-chairs of original programming for FX Entertainment, with Balian being promoted alongside Grad in the role in 2019. At the same time, Eric Schrier was promoted to the position of president of the newly created FX Entertainment, but Schrier left the company. FX in September to become president of Disney Television Studios and commercial operations at Disney General Entertainment.
Balian and Grad, through their new tiles, will continue to oversee development and current series at FX while also overseeing casting selection, production, and business affairs for FX content and FX Productions. The position of Head of Original Programming will now be abolished. They continue to report to John Landgraf, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FX Content and FX Productions.
Kate Lambert, Executive Vice President of Development, Jonathan Frank, Executive Vice President of Current Series, Michael Kutcher, Executive Vice President of Casting, and Kelly Klein, Executive Vice President of Business, will all now report to Grad and Balian.

Grad recently celebrated his 20th year at FX, joining in 2002 as Vice President of Development. He became Senior Vice President two years later and was appointed Executive Vice President of Original Programming and Development. In 2013, Grad was promoted to Head of Original Programming for FX Networks and FX Productions. Prior to joining FX, he was at Columbia TriStar from 1995 to 2002, where he rose to the position of Vice Comedy Development.

Balian joined FX in 2012 to create a new limited series unit and in 2016 was promoted to Executive Vice President of Development for FX Networks and FX Productions. Prior to working at FX, Balian was Senior Vice President of Drama Development at HBO.
Between Grad and Balian, they had a role in developing some of FX’s biggest successes.
