Apple’s M2 MacBook Pro is said to now arrive in 2023

If you were hoping to get a new MacBook Pro in 2022, you might be disappointed, as a new report links them to arriving now in 2023.

As the year draws to a close, we get new information about Apple’s upcoming MacBook Pro, which is set to arrive by the end of the year. Now, it looks like Apple’s new silicon-refreshed M2 won’t arrive by the end of the year and will instead come in the first half of 2023.

According to a report by Bloomberg Mark Gurman, the 14-inch M2 and 16-inch MacBook Pro will likely arrive in the first quarter of the year, with a high chance of announcing them sometime in early February to early March. Gurman also explains that the laptops will arrive with the announcement of macOS Ventura 13.3 and iOS 16.3. He went on to say that the company will likely select a release for March because it has usually done so with previous products. During the Apple earnings call, the company indicated that revenue growth will slow in 2022, mainly because no new products arrive this holiday season.

Recently, Apple introduced a new iPad, iPad Pro, and also an improved Apple TV 4K. A month ago, it introduced the new iPhone 14 models, the Apple Watch Series 8 and Watch Ultra, along with the second generation AirPods Pro. For the most part, it was a busy year for the company, as it added more products to its range. While some may think this is a good thing with more options, others may beg to differ. As Apple expands on more products, there is a possibility that it will alienate existing customers while also bringing in new ones.

If you’ve been looking forward to Apple’s new laptops, this news might be a bit disappointing. But on the flip side, it looks like you’ll have a few months to save more money on your new MacBook Pro. Those looking for more power and ready to use the desktop may benefit from a hold until Apple announces the new Mac Pro, due to arrive within the coming months.
