Giratina Altered Form was first added to Pokemon GO in October 2018 during the Halloween event, with the parent model following in April 2019.
On October 20, 2022, Giratina Altered Forme was available as a Raid Leader for a week. As of October 27, 2022, Origin Forme is now available for players to seize through raid battles. Giratinas captured by players before November 1 will have a “Shadow Force” attack.
