Access a large number of Secret Service menus and other useful options in your Android phone.
The Android operating system is famous for its hidden features and Easter eggs. One such area is the use of custom dialing codes to access various hidden apps and settings. Some of these codes are universal, which means that you will get the desired output on any Android device, no matter it is a great flagship phone or an inexpensive phone. However, OEM custom skins (eg One UI by Samsung, MIUI by Xiaomi) and carrier-specific models often come with their own set of hidden icons.
Below you can find a set of general as well as device specific Android hidden codes. Try them out and discover some of the most useful secret functions of your phone. If you don’t see your device listed or want to send a new code, send a message to Skanda Hazarika (Scanda in the forums) with all the relevant details.
hidden android codes structure
so called hidden The icons are basically part of the Human Machine Interface (MMI) scheme. These are slightly different from the Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) codes, although they both begin with an asterisk
followed by numbers consisting of commands or statements. Number groups can be separated by additional asterisks. The message is terminated with a hash symbol (#), but custom MMI codes may end with an asterisk as well.
While USSD codes are used to communicate with mobile network operator servers for list-based information services, mobile money services, and location-based content services, MMI supplemental service codes work completely offline.
Just like USSD, you have to ask for “hidden” icons in the stock dialer app to invoke the corresponding action.
