Rudy Rich says he finished doing business with Canada after being harassed at the border

Rudy Rich has announced that he will not be visiting Canada again “anytime soon” due to his turbulent history with their border patrol.

“The Federal Border Patrol wouldn’t let me into Vancouver, BC,” the Compton-born rapper wrote in an Instagram story on Sunday night. He also apologized to fans for missing his opening set at Roger Arena on the Twelve Carat Tour for Post Malone, and explained his spells with the country’s immigration authorities. “I apologize to my fans. I don’t think I’ll be visiting Canada again anytime soon because they harassed me every time I came and Emma was totally honest, I’m tired of being harassed.”

Rich has been denied entry to the country in the past. He made headlines in February 2020 when he couldn’t cross the Border Patrol, and according to A tweet Sent by Ricch at the time, a phone call to Drake was enough to get him.

Ricch’s representatives did not immediately respond diverseComment request.

Rich had to miss other appearances this year due to legal wrangling. Earlier this summer, he was arrested and detained for weapons possession while making his way to the Conservative Ball Music Festival in Citifield in New York. These charges were later dropped, and he appeared on stage the next day to lead a firecracker chant “Fuck NYPD” with the festival crowd.

Rudy is set to appear on three more dates on Malone’s Twelve-Carat Tour. He will join the lead artist in Los Angeles later this week on November 10 at the Kia Forum in Englewood.
