Season 6 of My Hero Academia makes the guards insist on Aizawa’s flashback gesture

My hero academy He may not have had enough time in the anime to embody one of the biggest stories from the Vigilantes spin-off, but the latest episode of Season 6 gave a huge nod to its story with Shota Aizawa’s latest flashback! My Hero Academia: Guardians It takes place years before the events of the main series, but many fans have yet to get to watch it. It’s also a shame because it has a main storyline that helps flesh out the past of Shota Aizawa, Hisashi Yamada, and the famous Oboro Shirakomo who appears in the main series with the latest episodes.

The story of the three young heroes is completely faded away with a special flashback arc all about Aizawa’s time at UA Academy before he became a full-fledged champion, and it is Shirakumo’s death that ended up exciting the kind of hero and fighter he is today. This moment in particular is briefly brought to life with a glimpse into Aizawa’s past in episode 119 of the series where a young, bloodied Aizawa is shocked by something that has just fallen. Check it out below:

What happened in Aizawa’s past?

Shirakumo’s bow My Hero Academia: Guardians We watched a young Aizawa and Hamada vow to become professional champions with their friend Shirakumo, and as we find out in Season 5, Shirakumo’s body was eventually used as a base for the Kurogiri Nomu. The flashback ended with a massive battle between Aizawa and the typical Nomu that ended with Shirakumo killing Shirakumo under some falling rubble even though Aizawa was key in eliminating the huge monster.

It’s a moment that helped shape the young hero into the kind of professional and mentor he is in the new series, and unfortunately without that larger context, anime fans have lost an essential part of it. But at the same time, these nods to a dark past help show what Aizawa is really fighting for as the battles against Tomura Shigaraki and his terrifying powers intensify with upcoming episodes.
