Hosted by Dave Chappelle Saturday Night Live last night. Much of the conversation at the time revolved around his thrilling 15-minute monologue, but the popular comedian also provided a bunch of really fun sketches, including mixing Dragon House And the Chapelle Show.
The short clip mocked some of Westeros’ absurdities, including incest, how much older Baela and Rhaena looked than Jace and Luke and how many accessories had fallen from King Viserys. She also offered an opportunity to drop Silky and others Chapelle Show favorites in the world and let them hate each other to great success. Check out the video below…
First of all, we have to give a shout Chapelle Show Legend and comedian Donnell Rawlings for his looks, as well as Ice-T, which we’re always happy to see. You know you’ll see the host appear in a lot of drawings SNL, but it’s always fun to see them bring in their friends and collaborators, too. I am very happy to invite them and they made the effort.
Beyond that, it was obviously great to see all these classic things Chapelle Show Characters that occupy Game of thrones universe for a minute. We got Silky checked out while the dragonback was there. We got a copy of Rick James hitting Rhinera Targaryen, which wasn’t around, and most ridiculously, we had Tyrone Biggs go looking for “dragon rocks” and lit his dragon pipe.
If some of this sounds vaguely familiar, it’s probably because Dave Chappelle also did a fun crossover when he hosted SNL In 2016. At the time, it was The Walking Dead and fans were treated to Silky and Tyrone Biggums, as well as some other favorites like Lil Jon. You can see this combination below…
As fun as it is to see Donnell Rawlings in both those sketches and Ice-T that last night, it also makes me miss Charlie Murphy and Patrice O’Neill, who were such an integral part of the classic Player Hater sketch. Chapelle Show. They agreed in 2011 and 2017, respectively, and missed them last night.
Until last night SNLThere were many rumors and controversies behind the scenes. Stories circulated about a possible writer boycott at the beginning of the week, but sources close to the show later denied the allegations. Everything went ahead as planned, and the episode seems to have been well received by most fans, with plenty of positive tweets, especially about it. Dave Chappelle’s opening monologue Which addressed Kanye West, Keri Irving, Donald Trump, Herschel Walker and others.
SNL It’s been in six of the past seven weeks since the season premiere. No upcoming hosts have been announced, which is usually a sign we’ll see a short break before the beloved comedy show is back on the air.
