Apple releases iOS 16.2 beta 3 for developers, here’s what’s new

Apple has released iOS 16.2 beta 3 to subscribers of its Developer Program. Here is everything included in this updated OS version.

After several months of beta testing, Apple has released iOS 16 to the public again in September. this is Great iPhone The update brings advanced lock screen customizations, live activities, messaging and mail improvements, and more. Then the company planted the seeds in the stable iOS 16.1 On October 24th – Brings some missing features, like iCloud Shared Photo Library and other add-ons. Now that iOS 16.1 is behind us, Apple has started actively working on the upcoming iOS 16.X release. Lo and Behold – iOS 16.2 beta 3 is now available to registered developers around the world. Live activity adjustments

Live Activities iOS 16.2 beta 2

iOS 16.1 introduced Live Activity API support. This allows apps to push persistent notifications that display information at the right time. iOS 16.2 beta 2 introduces an option to allow more frequent updates. This application will enable live activity content to be updated frequently. Enabling this toggle is expected to drain the battery faster.

5G support in India

Apple recently said that it will enable 5G support in India on compatible iPhones through a software update in the future. iOS 16.2 beta 2 finally enables this functionality, allowing users to enjoy faster internet.

New Medication Tools

iOS 16.2 beta 2 adds two new drug screen lock widgets. These allow users to quickly access or view their medication reminders.

Apple Freeform app

iOS 16.2 beta 1 introduces the Freeform app. For the unfamiliar, Apple teased this productivity app during WWDC22, back in June. Think of it as a board to move your creative ideas and plan ahead. It supports text, doodles, media, file insertion, etc. This way you can create the ultimate web brainstorming ideas. It obviously contains bugs in iOS 16.2 beta 1, such as not being able to delete panels when offline. Though, you can expect the company to fix major builds in the next beta builds, before releasing the update publicly later this year.

home upgrades

iOS 16.2 beta 1 introduces a more reliable upgrade to the Apple Home architecture. However, it requires all HomePods to run version 16.2. If you’re running an earlier version on HomePod, you won’t be able to start the upgrade.

Apple Music tweaks

Apple has modified the file without data loss Mark on the Now Playing screen in the Music app. Those using iOS 16.2 beta 1 will notice a much darker rectangular border when compared to the previous user interface.
