The Xbox November Update simplifies Discord voice chat support and introduces a new Capture app

The update also brings improved power options and live streaming improvements

After testing Discord voice chats with Xbox Insiders earlier this year, Microsoft released the feature to all users in September. However, Xbox users had to go through a complicated setup process to use the feature at launch. With the Xbox November Update, Microsoft is streamlining the process, making it easier for users to join Discord audio channels without the need for the Discord and Xbox mobile apps.

Microsoft has started rolling out the Xbox November Update to Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, and it brings several changes. As mentioned earlier, the update improves the process of joining the Discord audio channel by bypassing the requirements for mobile apps. Users can now do this directly on the console by navigating to a file Parties and chats option in the directory, select Discord, and simply choose an audio channel. Additionally, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S users are also getting Discord Voice noise suppression support with the November update, which will help block out background noise.

The November Xbox Update also brings support for Microsoft Store sale and wishlist gifting notifications, a new Capture app that offers improved viewing, management and editing of game captures, and improved power options that provide more detail about your console’s power usage and give you access to additional power options. What’s more, users can now go live with the Twitch, Lightstream, and Streamlabs Studio apps right on their console.

Other noteworthy features in the release include console support for Xbox Cloud gaming on PC and Mac, a “request to join” game option in user profiles, new recommendation guides, and a redesigned Xbox Support (formerly Xbox Assist) interface.

To get these features, you will have to first install the latest update on your console. You can do this by heading to System In Xbox Settings and select File updates Selection. On the next page, select Console update to install the update.
