CBS celebrated the holiday season in a new way with Fit for ChristmasAnd the championship the talkAmanda Kloots As a Christmas-loving fitness instructor, Audrey W Movie legend Paul Greene’s Holiday As a charming businessman Griffin. Both were very driven…but their end goals were unfortunately in complete opposition for most of the movie, and it was hard to guess how viewers could have a happy ending without losing a major customer. Luckily , Fit for Christmas She found a way to deliver the classic happy ending that fans of Christmas movies have come to expect, and Kloots talked about why she loved it.
Although Audrey brought all the fun and ingenuity anyone could hope for in her mission to save the mistletoe, Montana community center, Griffin and company invested enough money to get all the necessary votes to be able to replace the center with a ski resort. Although there were enough sparks flying between them that Audrey wasn’t ready to accept Bradley’s (played by Stefan Meyers) proposal, Griffin’s purchase of the community center seemed like a point of no return…until the spirit of Christmas got to him, and he found a way to incorporate everything He is distinguished from mistletoe in what he intends to build.
The future was looking bright for Audrey and Griffin under the mistletoe, after she brought Bradley back to New York, had a new vision for her work as a fitness instructor, and learned that Griffin was also staying in the city. Both characters win, and they get a Christmas kiss before the end credits roll. I loved the ending. I think as much as we get diverted a little bit, because we don’t know which guy Audrey might end up with, I love that Griffin’s character believes in Audrey’s dreams and sees things in them that she doesn’t necessarily see in herself yet. I love that they end up together — spoiler alert — because I think that’s the perfect perfect pair, is if you can be with someone who helps you achieve your dreams and sees things in you that you don’t necessarily see.
Fit for Christmas It didn’t end with one having to give up their goal in order to start a romance, but with Griffin seeing a better way after being inspired by Audrey, and Audrey learning from his business experience to find a way to do what she loves without leaving the mistletoe. Was there any question about Audrey returning to New York with Bradley to work out at a gym with no independence or creativity, when she has everything she needs and wants to go back to the city she loved?
Of course, Audrey still brings a little bit of New York with her to Mistletoe, even though she left town without knowing if she’d ever return. Her wardrobe is a mix of fashion and celebration from start to finish. When I noticed that I loved all of Audrey’s Christmas outfits in the movie, Amanda Kloots thought if she’d have input on what her character wore:
yes! [laughs] Yes wrong! I had a lot of control over my wardrobe for this movie. Listen, I felt like a younger woman who lived in New York and had obviously been in this world for a little while. So she had to go back to mistletoe with a little style, a little fun, and a little silliness. I really tried to bring that up and show that she lived in Manhattan for two years.
Sure, Audrey wore her share of Christmas sweaters, but she was also the only one who went all out for the holiday party at the end in her green dress! She was still as much a part of Mistletoe as ever, with a little flair she brought back from New York City. It definitely made for a great final moment between her and Griffin under the mistletoe!
Fit for Christmas It was Amanda Kloots’ first Christmas movie, and she was the inspiration to create it After losing her husband Nick Cordero back in 2020. You’ve never seen a holiday TV movie about fitness before. So, did her experience make her want to do another Christmas movie? She had an enthusiastic response:
she did! I have such an error. We were on set and I felt it right away. I was just like, “Oh my God, this is so much fun.” To do that, you have to make a movie, be a part of creating it, and executive producing it. It was just a blast. I definitely got the movie acting wrong and fell in love with it all. So I hope so. This would be a dream come true. I would like to do more.
Whether or not Amanda Kloots returns to holiday movies in time for the upcoming Christmas season, CBS has more festive fare in store in 2022.
