So who can we expect from the original films to return, and who are the newcomers joining the franchise? We’ve put together this updated cast list to answer those questions, and we’ll start with the man who plays the series’ eponymous hero…
Eddie Murphy

It’s been a minute since we last saw him Fast times at Ridgemont High He stars in a movie, with his most recent credits back in 2017, so it will be exciting to see him again in one of his most beloved roles.
Bronson Pinchot
While not shown in Beverly Hills Cop IIBronson Pinchot is a staple of the action franchise – starting with his one-scene standout role as Serge in the original. in Beverly Hills Cop III He’s gone from selling art to becoming the owner of Serge’s Survival Boutique, a high-end gun store… though we have no idea if he’ll still be running the shop in 2020. Pinchot is confirmed to appear in Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley While the movie is in production in September 2022, though, we don’t know what to expect from his role. Paul Reiser
Paul Reiser has seen a nice career resurgence in recent years, starting with his role as Dr. Sam Owens in The Weird things. He will reprise his role as Jeffrey Friedman Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foleyplaying the character for the first time since Beverly Hills Cop II In 1987. What has the character been up to in the past three and a half decades? We have no idea – but we’d expect him to continue being a loyal ally to the titular cop Eddie Murphy.
John Ashton

Joseph Gordon-Lovitt

We currently have no clue as to what role it plays in the new Beverly Hills Cobbbut all signs at least point to her being the heroine.
Kevin Bacon
Despite the fact that they’ve been in Hollywood for several decades, Kevin Bacon and Eddie Murphy have never had the chance to work together before – but that all changes with the… Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley. Bacon joined the cast of the Netflix sequel in September 2022, though it hasn’t been confirmed if he’ll play the hero or antagonist in the film. The actor recently played the lead role opposite Aldis Hodge in the Showtime series City on a hillbut he also recently joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a very special way: playing himself in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.
Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley It’s currently in post-production, and while it doesn’t have an official release date yet, it’s expected to arrive in 2023 (so make sure your Netflix subscription is turned on).
