‘White Lotus’ Season 2 Rankings

The season 2 finale of The White Lotus drew record high viewership for an HBO drama, clocking in at 4.1 million US viewers on Sunday.

This is a 46% higher than the previous personal best series created by Mike White, which reached the sixth and penultimate episode of the second season on December 5. For season two, episode six of The White Lotus, it had 2.8 million viewers tuned in that Sunday night, a number calculated from a Nielsen metric combination of HBO’s linear viewership and viewership data owned by Warner Bros. Television. Discovery to stream on HBO Max.

The show has seen a ratings boom since its second season premiere on October 30, which garnered just over 1.5 million viewers across HBO and HBO Max on its first night, up 63% compared to viewership for the July 2021 “White Lotus” series premiere.

Per Warner. Bros. Discovery, “Season two episodes now average 10.1 million viewers across platforms, nearly 50% ahead of season one at the same time and leading the first episode with 11.5 million viewers”.

“The White Lotus” Season 2 is written and directed by White, who executive produces alongside David Bernad and Mark Kamine.

HBO has already renewed “The White Lotus” for a third season, which White says is considering setting it in Asia and focusing on “death and Eastern religion.”

More is coming.
