There are many reasons to learn how to change margins in Google Docs but it’s not immediately obvious how to do it. Once you know how to change margins in Google Docs, you can cram information into fewer pages or spacing and make it look more professional, especially useful for work and school.

How to change margins in google docs
- Click View on the top toolbar
- Click Show Ruler
- Drag the gray areas of the top ruler (horizontal margin)
- Drag the left side ruler gray areas (vertical margins)

1. Click View and then Click Show Ruler (Make sure it contains the hash mark).
2. Locate the gray area Supreme ruler. Click and drag the gray area left or right to change the horizontal margin. There are gray areas on either side of the ruler.
NB: The blue arrow and blue rectangle in the top margin change the paragraph indent and first line indent, respectively. These don’t change the margins, they just change where the text starts. Ignore these when changing page margins.
3. Locate the gray area on the left side ruler. Click and drag the gray area left or right to change the vertical margin. There are gray areas at the top and bottom of the ruler.
4. for fine adjustments, Select a file.
5. Select Page Setup.
6. This will open the page setup menu. Here you can orient the page and change the margins. Write down the values The margins you want to set.
7. Select OK.
Back on your document, the margins should now be adjusted.
