Since the battle against Jigen ended Boruto: Naruto Next GenerationsThe anime, the TV series was exploring origin stories that didn’t find their way into the manga proper. With this year’s Jump Festa announcing that Sasuke Retsuden, the spin-off series focusing on Sasuke and Sakura after Naruto: Shippuden, was coming to the anime and a new global popularity poll was hitting online, the TV series looks to be back again Sourced from and subtitled by “Code Arc” Next year.

After Jigen dies with the loss of the Nine-Tailed Fox and Sasuke’s use of the Rinnegan, Konoha licks his wounds as the right-hand man of the deceased leader of the Kara Organization plots revenge. Code is a character who looks exactly like Kawaki, with Kara using her as a vessel for Otsutsuki, though the former is more of a “failed experiment” than being the newest member of the Hidden Leaf Village. Not only will the upcoming story see Code assemble an army to replace the losses Kara has suffered, but it will also introduce two new villains in Eida and Daemon, who are sure to cause some serious chaos in Ninja World.

With Kyuubi gone and Sasuke losing massive power, the responsibility to protect the ninja world will now fall on the next generation of ninja. Unfortunately for Konoha, Boruto continues his struggle with the Otsutsuki residing within his body, Momoshiki.
