Mundfish’s long-awaited FPS is set to be released on February 21st. In the lead-up to the game’s release, the developer continues to deliver countless cinematic and gameplay trailers from the title’s “crazy and wonderful utopian world.” Revealed during GeForce Beyond at CES 2023, the latest trailer focuses on exotic locations in the RTX-powered shooter.

Along with abandoned Soviet laboratories filled with rogue AI systems, uncontrollable robotic subjects, and biomechanical monstrosities, it’s also possible to see at least seven different weapons in action throughout the trailer.

Among the weapons shown briefly in the trailer is the infamous Railgun. The new trailer for Atomic Heart also shows how Snezhok, Dominator, and AK deal with enemies. In the action sequences, the protagonist Major Nechaev also uses his hand to launch enemies into the air with strange powers that players will be able to combine with the explosive gameplay.

While we’ve seen the game’s hand-to-hand combat mechanics before, there’s no doubt that the sequences feel more responsive and immersive in the last few trailers, which have revealed the sheer scale of the game even more.

Recently, game director Robert Bagratoni spoke about the studio’s plans for DLC and detailed the development process. According to Bagratuni, players will be able to use Atomic Heart’s rich arsenal in the game’s DLCS, which is “intended to greatly expand the player experience.”

Everything seems to be on track with Atomic Heart, which also features DLSS 3, the next stage in NVIDIA’s AI graphics technology, which delivers astronomical performance while maintaining visual quality. The highly anticipated shooter isn’t the only one with new NVIDIA features, as the new render revealed that at least 50 new games will be getting the same treatment, including Witchfire.

Atomic Heart is set to release on Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC March 21st. It will be available to play on Xbox Game Pass on release day, which means anyone with a subscription will get to play Major Nachaev on his bizarre and extremely dangerous mission into Soviet laboratories without paying full price for the game.
